Position Description

We are seeking an experienced energy professional to focus on engagement with electric utilities in support of enabling new business models and means of engagement. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of impact across the energy sector and a strong work ethic along with a curiosity to continue learning. The role offers the ability to work directly with key Cloverleaf partners and develop innovative strategies that advance our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • In assigned regions, develop and execute the energy strategy to secure a grid connection, transmission and generation capacity
  • Implement novel commercial structures and utility-scale solutions to improve project timelines, increase scale, and reduce carbon emissions
  • Engage with utilities to build trust and learn about system operations and constraints
  • Evaluate energy policies to identify opportunities where an innovative commercial structure can be utilized to secure generation capacity
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • Experience working at, or in cooperation with, electric and gas utilities in North America
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial agreements and collaborate with internal and external counsel
  • Ability to prepare clear and professional materials, including reports and presentations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Superior work ethic
  • Strategic, creative mindset
  • Excellent collaboration skills and a can-do attitude
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Willingness to travel 25% for in person meetings

Location

Seattle, Washington or Houston, Texas. We are open to flexible work (e.g., two days per week remote) after an initial onboarding period.
